The olive tree, scientifically known as Olea europaea, is native to the Mediterranean, parts of Asia, and Africa, and belongs to the Oleaceae family. It is renowned for its oblong, narrow, silvery-green leaves with a leathery texture. The tree produces small white-yellow flowers in the spring and oval-shaped fruit that turns from green to black as it ripens. It is ideal for the cultivation of edible fruit and oil extraction.


Care Instructions:

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. But can tolerate some partial shade of sunlight.

Water: Keep soil moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch is dry.

Soil: Use well-draining slightly alkaline soil (pH 7–8.5). They can tolerate poor, rocky soils but do not like heavy, waterlogged soil

Temperature: Thrives in 15°F (-9°C). Protect from frost and cold drafts

Humidity: Can tolerate high. Regular misting or a humid environment can help, especially in dry climates.

Fertilizer: Used balanced liquid fertilizer monthly in spring and summer.

Pruning: Trim dead or yellow leaves and branches to promote new growth.
